Disclosure Scotland Membership with Career Locum Group

As the duties of a healthcare professional fall within the scope of 'regulated activities' our candidates are subject to scheme membership with Disclosure Scotland’s Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, renewable annually, in order to work as a locum in Scotland. Please note that it may be necessary to undertake an additional disclosure even if you have a recent disclosure available.

Having a criminal conviction would not necessarily bar you from being offered job roles with us, however please note we are not permitted to book you for any positions in Scotland without appropriate scheme membership.

Completing your Disclosure Scotland Registration

1. Confirm the type of registration required: If you are already a Scheme Member (for example, through another recruitment agency), it will not be necessary to apply as a Scheme Member through CLG; instead, we apply for a Scheme Member Update, meaning that we are registered as having an employment interest in you and Disclosure Scotland inform ourselves and any other interested parties should any changes occur to your record.

2. Complete your Application Form: we will post the appropriate form along with any relevant guidance notes. Please refer to your Compliance Officer with any queries.

3. Complete Your Identity Check: Verification of your identity is a prerequisite to completing Disclosure Scotland clearance in addition to being an NHS Employment Check Standard. Please see here for more details.
